The purpose of the NDCBF Inquiry Counselors is to be ready with an
answer for why be believe by responding to the questions that are asked
as a result of the invitation to Trust Christ, become a member or
receive prayer that is extended at the close of each service.
All believers are called to serve Christ as His ambassadors. Paul’s
appeal was not a routine pronouncement but an impassioned plea addressed
to the world on Christ’s behalf; “Be Reconciled to God”. As believers,
as well as an Inquiry Counselor, we have been given the ministry of
reconciliation. This ministry gives us a unique opportunity to do as God
commands, which is to witness to others so that they too can “Be
Reconciled to God”.
Mission
Inquiry counselors are responsible for counseling with those who respond
to the public invitation during NDCBF worship services. Counselors
should be able to counsel persons who:
- Desire to trust Christ
- Rededicate their lives to Christ
- Need assurance of their salvation
- Join the church
- Request prayer
Goals We understand that “sharing the Gospel of Christ” is the primary focus
of this ministry. Our goal is to:
Introduce unsaved people to a saving knowledge of Christ.
Minister to the felt needs of those responding to the call to
discipleship.Clear up any misconceptions.Complete membership process.Initiate the assimilation process.
