OUR VISION
A vision is a clear, common, compelling picture of God’s future for this church as we believe it can and it must be.
Our vision is to Equip the Church to be Salt and Light in a Lost and Dying World. As this world changing church, NDCBF will be a model of service, discipleship and fellowship that honors the Great Commission by unconditionally loving all people. We will be known for our authentic spiritual walk and caring relationships with people. We will grow the kingdom by being a springboard for meeting the practical needs and promoting the spiritual development of others, and by helping people in our ever-expanding community to build close and personal relationships with Jesus Christ.
Our local and worldwide campaign to make true disciples of Jesus Christ is designed to reach one person at a time, one family at a time, and one community at a time. We will prevail by:
-constantly praying and depending upon the provision of God
-consistently teaching the Word of God with passion and clarity
-compassionately caring for lost and hurting souls
-conspicuously living out our faith in our everyday lives
-creatively strengthening families connected to the church
-cooperatively replicating like-minded churches in communities at home and abroad.
OUR MISSION
The mission dictates the ministry’s direction, formulates its function and provides boundaries for decision making. The mission also inspires unity and shapes the strategy. The mission simply states what God wants the church to accomplish and articulates the vision being accomplished. The mission is the process.
Our mission is to “Connect people to God, Connect People to Others, Connect People to Ministry and Connect People to the Lost.”
This mission is consistent with our 4-E Purpose which is “to Exalt the Savior, Equip and Encourage the Saints and Evangelize the Sinner”.
OUR CORE VALUES
At NDCBF, church conduct is inseparable from the conduct of individual members in living out the tenets of the Christian life. Every NDCBF member is responsible for adhering to a lifestyle that is in accordance with biblical principles and with moral and ethical standards that are befitting someone who is named by the name of Christ.
At NDCBF, we are committed to the highest standards of ethics and integrity. We are responsible to our God, the community at large, to the families that make up this church, and to the world that we live in. In discharging our responsibilities, we are committed to a church discipline process that holds each and every member accountable for their behavior. We are called upon by Scripture to keep our behavior morally excellent as we live out our lives in the public arena. We will not compromise when it comes to the truth of Scripture and we will not take morally convenient “shortcuts” in order to curry favor with people.
Each church lives according to a unique set of governing values. These values are the things that are most important to them. Core values are the beliefs that drive our behavior and the conduct of ministry. They are the essence of a church’s identity and are vital to what the church is all about. At North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship we are committed to the following core values which shape and drive our ministry:
Biblical Instruction (Acts 2:42) – We value relevant Bible teaching. We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word (2 Timothy 3:16). Therefore, we will equip disciples through the teaching of His word.
Worship (Acts 2:47) – We value authentic worship. We belong to Christ and He deserves our worship. Therefore, we will encourage the saints to exalt the Savior.
Fellowship (Acts 2:42, 44-46) – We value authentic relationships. We are admonished not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together.
Service (Acts 2:44, 45) – We value service. We believe that we have a biblical responsibility to honor the Lord with our time, talent and treasures.
Evangelism (Acts 2:47) – We aspire to be a church that is committed to winning the lost. We believe that God has left us to win people to faith in Christ (Matthew 28:19). Therefore, we will seek to train every member to share their faith with boldness and we will pursue every opportunity to point people to the Savior.
Excellence We value the pursuit of excellence. We are working to find an effective balance between valuing all members and seeking to offer our best to God with every effort. Therefore, in everything that we do, it is as unto the Lord that He may be glorified.
