About Us
Since the church was founded in 1989, perhaps one of the best-kept secrets at North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship (NDCBF) was the counseling ministry. Members of the congregation have primarily received counseling services through the church’s Care and Comfort arm. Pastor Eldred McClean, who is also co-founder of NDCBF, served as the lead pastoral counselor along with Tera McFarland, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) for many years. After counseling hurting families and individuals who were struggling with grief and loss, seeking help with their marriages, trying to recover from separation and divorce or teens who had become difficult to manage, pastor McClean saw the need for counseling services to expand within the church. Passionate about helping the hurting, he envisioned a counseling center comprised of several biblically trained pastoral and licensed professional counselors. With a team of like-minded therapists, his vision was crafted into a comprehensive strategic plan. And, after much prayer and perseverance, the Eldred McClean Counseling Center (EMCC) was established in 2017.

To become a multi-faceted center of healing and outreach that becomes a community leader by uniquely combining education, pastoral and clinical counseling with various ministries.

To strengthen individuals and restore families to wholeness spiritually, cognitively, and emotionally based on scripture and using a myriad of counseling interventions.
