The purpose of the Youth Outreach Ministry is to model Christ’s love and concern for others. We seek to reach those outside the walls of the church with this message and to share the love of Jesus Christ. We are gearing up for a busy time of service with our Youth for 2019.

UPCOMING OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

Hello Parents,

As we wind down this school year, this month will be our final youth outreach ministry activity. This month we have chosen to conduct a donation drive for Union Gospel Mission Center of Hope.

During the month of March, the youth volunteered their time at the Center of Hope. It was during this visit; the youth were made aware of several items that are always needed by the clients. Those items are listed below.

If you and your child would like to participate in this drive, you may bring your items on the designated Sundays during the month (May 5, 12, and 19). There will be a drop off location located upstairs in the youth area. If you have any questions, you may email [email protected]. Thank you in advance for your donations.

We hope that everyone has a blessed and safe summer. You should begin receiving emails beginning in late August regarding the fall schedule.

Needed Items:

Baby wipes

Diapers (all sizes)

Youth Volunteers Bring Joy and Love to Nursing Home Residents

On Saturday, February 16, 2019, approximately 11 youth had the pleasure of serving at Village at Richardson nursing home. During the visit, the youth were able to make Valentine’s Day cards with the residents and share the Love of Christ. Additionally, they assisted in serving ice cream and singing hymns with the residents. Our youth department builds community relationships so that our services reach those who need them most.  The residents thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the youth. If you are interested in getting your youth member involved, please email [email protected] for more information.
