ABOUT THE MUSIC MINISTRY

"David ordered the heads of the Levites to assign their relatives to sing in the choir, accompanied by a well-equipped marching band, and fill the air with joyful sound.”  (I Chronicles 15:16) MSG Bible

The Music Ministry of North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship believes that God should be worshiped through biblically inspired music and song. Music has long played a vital role in worship to God even before the world was created. We believe that God has ordained man to express true worship to Him via music and song. There are many references to music and singing throughout the bible that refer to individuals and congregations raising their voices in praise to God. The book of Psalms is considered the "hymnal of Israel" (church) and is the largest collection of poetry and songs in the Bible.

Since music plays such a crucial role in worship, the choirs of NDCBF strive to minister songs that speaks the word of God to the congregation, and songs that speak the heart of the congregation to God. All NDCBF choir members and musicians profess to love the Lord. We believe that choir members and musicians should be believers who practice private worship to God on a daily basis. A relationship with God in private will help facilitate a public music ministry that leads the congregation into the awareness of the Father.

We invite you to prayerfully consider the Music Ministry if you have been given the gift to sing or play an instrument. If you have not participated in a musical setting since college or a previous church ministry, then make an appointment with the Worship Pastor for consultation.
